ABOUT ME

I have been programming for six years, and have dedicated time both in and outside of the classroom on a variety projects. This last summer I interned with Amazon Web Services in Seattle. The summer before that I built an Android application as part of a Computer Vision and Machine Learning research project. At school, I was one of only six students to be recommended by the Computer Science Department to be a Computer Science tutor and worked with the IT department to improve Haverford's technological infrastructure.

Before college, I spent ten months serving at in an inner-city elementary school in the South Bronx, New York. There I learned to maintain cheerful persistence in the shadow of monumental challenges as I worked with a team of nine to combat the national drop-out rate on the ground level.

At Haverford, I rapidly took on key leadership roles and led Haverford's Honor Council through an unprecedented number of social and academic trials. At the same time, I was appointed to serve as a student representative on AAC, a committee composed of senior administrators and charged with tackling the college's most difficult budgeting decisions. Through these and other positions like Customs Person, Peer Tutor, Dorm President, and Admissions Host, I gained a comprehensive understanding of how Haverford functions and made significant contributions and improvements to many of Haverford's core organizations.

I am excited to seek new and complex challenges as I as I graduate college and begin my career in technology.
